Google Business Profile UTM builder
Create consistent tracking links for your website button, appointment page and menu. Keep one location campaign and distinguish placements without a login.
Build your Google Business Profile links
What the builder adds and preserves
| Parameter | Value here | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| utm_source | One consistent platform name. | |
| utm_medium | organic | A convention for unpaid Google profile traffic. |
| utm_campaign | Your label, such as gbp_london | Groups links for the location or campaign. |
| utm_content | website, appointment or menu | Distinguishes the placement. |
For https://example.com/london?service=hair#booking, the existing service parameter and fragment stay. Tracking parameters are added before the fragment. Existing UTMs are rejected unless you explicitly choose to replace them; replacement removes stale UTM fields and rebuilds the four fields above.
Use a public destination you control or are authorized to publish. Do not paste passwords, private tokens, email addresses or customer details into campaign labels or URLs. The builder runs locally in your browser and does not fetch the destination. The site's normal analytics and advertising still apply.
Verify the whole tracking path before publishing
- Use the correct location landing page. Appointment and menu links should perform the intended action and match your profile's eligibility.
- Open the generated URL deliberately and confirm the final page works. Check whether any redirect drops the tracking query.
- Check your analytics collection and traffic acquisition dimensions. A generated link alone does not establish that GA4 received a visit.
- Record the label convention and use it consistently. Avoid tagging internal navigation with these acquisition parameters.
Google may verify business links and remove inaccessible or unsuitable action destinations. This tool validates URL structure, not crawlability, Business Profile verification, policy acceptance or analytics delivery.
For recurring client reporting, use the local SEO report template. To manage many profiles, compare Google Business Profile tools and agency software.
Questions about GBP UTM tracking
Will this separate GBP visits from other Google traffic?
Consistent campaign and content labels can help identify tagged profile links in analytics when collection and attribution work. The builder does not verify your analytics setup or determine every visitor's origin.
Does Google Search Console show these campaign labels?
Use analytics campaign and source/medium dimensions to evaluate tagged visits. Search Console search performance is a different dataset; do not treat a UTM label as a new GSC keyword.
Does the builder update my Business Profile?
No. It generates links and a CSV for you to review and publish through your existing profile access. It makes no Google account or API changes.
