Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file a site or its partners store in your browser. The site includes advertising and Google Analytics integrations. Third-party behavior depends on the service, region and consent configuration. These categories describe the integrations; they do not establish that every service sets a cookie on every visit:

If a consent message is displayed, use its controls to make or change your choices. Ad preference links and browser cookie settings do not replace a site consent mechanism.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links to vendors are affiliate links. Following one may place a cookie from that vendor or its affiliate network, which credits this site if you later subscribe. You pay the same either way, and the link never changes which tool a page recommends. This is set out in full in the affiliate disclosure.
Server logs
The host may record standard request data: IP address, browser user agent, referring page, requested URL and timestamp. Hosting logs support security and fault diagnosis. For questions about applicable retention and access, contact the publisher.
If you write to hello@besttoolscan.com, your address and message are kept only as long as needed to deal with it and any follow-up. There is no newsletter and no mailing list, so your address is never added to one.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to complain to your national data protection authority. If you are in California, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what is collected, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing — BestToolScan does not sell personal information.
The lawful basis for advertising and analytics cookies is your consent; for server logs it is legitimate interest in keeping the site running and secure.
