What the numbers mean

For the sample 1, 2, 3, 10, NF at depth 20, top-3 coverage is 60%, average found rank is 4.00 and the capped average is 7.40. A scan with only NF points has 0% top-3 coverage and no average found rank.
Local Falcon describes SoLV® in terms of top-three appearances. Its metric definitions also distinguish found-only averages from averages including not-found points. SoLV® is Local Falcon’s registered trademark. This independent calculator is not its product, and does not reproduce every vendor’s reporting implementation.
Compare scans without hiding missing coverage
The calculator reports a percentage-point change only when point counts match. Moving from 40% to 60% is a gain of 20 percentage points. Equal counts are only the first check: compare the same business, keyword, coordinates, radius, search depth and platform. A smaller radius can improve the percentage without any actual ranking change.
Do not replace an unknown or failed scan with NF. NF means the point was searched and the business was not found within the configured depth. Repair missing observations before pasting your data. This tool cannot verify coordinates or scan quality.
Social mention share, rank-weighted share of voice and AI answer share use different denominators. Their percentages cannot be compared with this top-3 coverage calculation. A 60% result here describes your supplied sample, not market share, actual customer demand or guaranteed revenue.
Plan the next useful scan
A good found-only average paired with many NF points means you need to examine the coverage map, rather than reporting the average alone. Compare location-level results with the same settings, then inspect the points that matter to the business’s service area.
